The servers on which we played on were old ones (which THQ rented) and they were shut down because of this. What are your thoughts on Overwatch 2? Will you be playing the game now that it’s on Steam? Let us know in the comments. As you may all have heard, our beloved THQ has bankrupted and Sega has outbid every other company for Relic, Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War along with it. They also locked new heroes to the premium battle pass and started selling skins for a cool $20 a pop. Blizzard took a game everyone loved, stripped it of features and started to monetise parts of the game that weren’t before. Seeing all the negative reviews is unsurprising because Overwatch 1’s transition to Overwatch 2 has been troubling. The reviews don’t read like review bombing either, with many of the top reviews sounding like they come from current and ex-players who just now have a chance for their opinions to be heard. Many of the criticisms revolve around the promised PvE mode being canned and other troubling behaviour on the part of Blizzard since the game’s launch. Since releasing on Steam this morning, Overwatch 2 has already amassed over 6,000 reviews and has a Mostly Negative score. This morning’s Steam debut of Overwatch 2 is not only an opportunity for the game to attract a whole new audience but also a chance for many players to have their reviews seen for the very time. As part of a new initiative from Blizzard, some of the company’s biggest titles have been making their way onto Steam the latest one to make the cut is Overwatch 2.
